Any
company or person that wished to become established in the
Colon Free Zone can do so under one or more of the following
operational schemes:

Subscribing with the Administration an Lot Rental Contract
-
Subscribing with the Administration a Building or Commercial
Premise Contract.

Subscribing with the Administration a Premise Rental Contract
for warehouses.

Subscribing with a company that is already established,
a Representation Contract.

Using the services of the Public Warehouse established in
the Colon Free Zone .
LEGAL
ASPECTS
Pursuant to Law Decree 18 of 1948, the corporations that operate
in the Colon Free Zone will not be required a Commercial License
nor minimum investment capital, but they will be required
to meet the following regulations:
The
following documentary evidence will be required:
- Articles
of Incorporation.
- Banking
and Commercial references.
- Employ
a minimum of five (5) local workers.
- Re-export
a minimum of sixty (60%) percent of the goods that are imported.
- Pay
the rent in the first five days of each month..
- Report
the commercial movement of all the products that enter or
exit the Free Zone, in appropriate forms, at the time the
operation is carried out.
